A warm cup of tea soothes a throat tired from coughing and it can soothe the soul. A variety of herbal teas are available in most grocery stores. Even the traditional brands have nice variety of teas now. Pair them with a container of honey, which has nutrients that are good for coughs.
Pulse Oximeter
You can find this a fingertip pulse oximeter at your pharmacy, big box store,or order online. The portable device reads the level of oxygen in your blood from your fingertip. It is a good practice to check your oxygen level at home regularly to make sure you are not dipping too low. A basic device ranges in cost from $20 – $40 USD. Cool Mist Humidifier
Cool mist humidifiers add cool moisture to the air, which may ease the dryness that comes from using supplemental oxygen. These devices can humidify a normal sized room, such as a bedroom and offer comfort for your nasal passages while sleeping. They start at about $40 USD and run on distilled or filtered water.
