PF Warriors is excited to attend the annual American Thoracic Society (ATS) International Conference, one of the largest educational meetings for healthcare professionals focused on pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine being held in San Francisco, CA, May 16 – 21. PF Warriors will be at Booth 1931, representing the patient voice, advocating for the community, and helping expand awareness of pulmonary fibrosis (PF) and interstitial lung disease (ILD).
If you live or are in the San Francisco Bay Area, sign up for a special in-person patient event hosted by the ATS Public Advisory Roundtable (PAR) on Saturday, May 17! Lunch will be provided. It is free to attend, but registration is required by May 9.
We plan to report on everything you need to know from #ATS2025, and bring you news and information about all things happening in the IPF/PF/ILD space. We hope you will follow along with us on our public social media platforms to see our pre-conference, on-site, and post-conference coverage!

PF Warriors continues to support patients and caregivers with expert-led online educational meetings, a private Facebook Group, our blog collection of real-life experiences and expert insights, a variety of medically accurate resources, videos from experts, and more, all FREE to participants. But none of it happens without your help.

When PF Isn’t the Only Battle
This month, we honor members of our community who face more than just pulmonary fibrosis. Some live with conditions like Sjögren’s syndrome, an autoimmune disorder that affects moisture-producing glands and may contribute to lung complications, and sarcoidosis, where clusters of inflammatory cells can form in the lungs and other organs.
We also pause to recognize the life-changing gift of organ donation, which offers hope and a second chance to so many in our community.
These challenges can add complexity to care, but they also highlight the strength and resilience of our members.
Advocacy Spotlight:
The SOAR Act Returns
Access to supplemental oxygen is a lifeline for those with pulmonary fibrosis. That’s why the reintroduction of the SOAR (Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform) Act is so important to our community.
If passed, this legislation would improve Medicare coverage for oxygen therapy, protect access to liquid oxygen, and ensure support from respiratory therapists.
PF Warriors is actively advocating for this critical legislation—and we invite you to join us. Together, we can help ensure oxygen access reflects the real needs of patients.
We provide tools to help you take actions: information on how to find your senator and representative, phone numbers to call, and even a template to send via email that you can personalize.
